February 18th, 2023 - Since 1990 and on February 18th of each year, Algeria commemorates the National Chahid Day, in recognition of the sacrifice and heroism of the million and a half martyrs who gave what they held most dear, their lives, for Algeria to live free and independent. This occasion once again reminds us of the duty of loyalty to their memory and commitment to their footsteps in the service of the country.
The Embassy of Algeria in Athens and members of the Embassy commemorated Chahid Day by observing a minute of silence and reciting the Fatiha in memory of our brave Martyrs.
